3S Simons Security Systems, based in Germany, has released an integrated security product applied to packaging that accommodates both functions in one unit including Secutag micro-color code technology and an additional traceability code character.
In terms of packaging industry, the device also has an established anti-counterfeit measure, such as a barcode, RFID tag or data-matrix code. The data-matrix code, for example, could enhance consumption safety by providing product code, producer initials, manufacturing date, batch number and so forth.
