Drinks can manufacturer Rexam has helped reinvigorate aperitif brand Sprizzerol by targeting the on-the-go market.
Paulo De Martin, grandson of 1930's Italian socialite and creator of Sprizzerol Eduardo De Martin, chose Rexam's 25cl slim aluminium can as a modern packaging format that would suit the drink's customer base.
"On-the-go consumption is increasing and so is occasion drinking such as outdoor events and festivals," said Harald Moser, sales manager for Austria and Eastern Europe for Rexam. "This is a core market for Sprizzerol and the can fits this profile perfectly."
De Martin said: "Rexam's know-how enables us to optimise our product and to meet the requirements of our customers."
Sprizzerol is an aperitif produced from fine Italian wine, selected aromatic herbs and natural ingredients, to a secret family recipe.
The 25cl can of Sprizzerol will be available in retailers across Austria and Germany and in bars and pubs in Italy, Austria, Germany, Belgium, Slovenia and Croatia.
