TopChim has launched an eco-friendly, patented and nano-dispersed biopolymer to apply to wax emulsions in hydrophobic paper and cardboard packaging.
A new coating technology for paper and cardboard--- Top Screen DS13---could conquer shortcomings for utilizing wax emulsions when consumers want to keep the very feature of excellent water barrier performance.
Among the environmentally friendly atmosphere, the new biopolymer could strike the tone for it. It is of vegetable origin, while most wax emulsions are made from petrochemicals.
With a high solid content, stabilizers are not necessary with the new technology Top Screen DS13. However, viscosity remains low and coating machines taking advantage of TopScreen DS13 can be wiped out with water.
