Keys to Trump Packaging Industry in the EU Market

The EU packaging seminar entitled as ‘Developing Packaging of Agricultural Products for European Markets’ was held in ProPak2008 for attendees eager to expand markets in EU.
Julian Carroll, Director of The European Organization for Packaging and the Environment（EUROPEN）said: “Packaging material must be suitable for reuse or sustainability. Methods could be including compostability of materials, recyclability of materials, or energy recovery via incineration of material.”
In the directive, Carroll emphasized the importance of protecting the environment, achieving recovery and recycling targets, fulfilling packaging method elements and setting up the systems for dealing with used packaging collections.
With the notion of green packaging and benefits for the environment, the markets in the Europe should focus on the packaging sustainability and flexibility. Therefore, eco-friendly projects could be carried out more thoroughly on the European continent.
