Growth in the Asia Pacific region will make up 63% of global growth for all retail packaging types through 2020

Measured in billions of units of all retail packaging types (bottles, cans, folding cartons, flexible cartons, etc.), Asia Pacific will register the largest growth globally, a new study from PMMI Business Intelligence reveals.


Asia Pacific will account for majority of retail packaging growth with an absolute volume growth of 288 billion units between 2015 and 2020.

Euromonitor International, who produced the study for PMMI Business Intelligence, compiles data points and qualitative analysis for 80 countries. Markets include Beauty and Personal Care, Beverages, Dog and Cat Food, Home Care and Packaged Food. Both primary and secondary retail packages are studied, including internet sales.
