Tork launches time-saving napkin packaging
2016-12-21

From:Packaging News

Tork, a global brand in tableware for the hospitality industry, has launched its new napkin box with Tork Easy Handling features.

The packaging aims to make the problem faced by cash and carry staff to quickly locate the right napkin in a room full of almost identical boxes a thing of the past.

The new design of the display box features improved labelling and an identification window, to make it much simpler for wholesalers to view the napkin colour, without the need to open the box.

The multi-functional packaging is just as easy to display and access, as it is to store. The addition of tear along perforations enables the box to instantly transform into a shelf-ready napkin display carton.

This, according to Tork, makes the job of displaying products more efficient for staff, together with simplifying purchasing for customers – especially those who purchase the entire contents of the box. In addition, they also fit into existing measurement standards, supporting current logistics and storage solutions.

To test the new design, Tork undertook a study, which revealed that 97% of wholesalers found opening the new design easy or very easy to understand.

Julia Wood, senior product manager UK & Ireland, SCA Hygiene commented: “Packaging has evolved from just a box to keep products safe in transit, from supplier to end-user, and we believe it now plays a vital role in building brand differentiation, awareness and loyalty. With this in mind, we are always in search of new ideas to make our packaging smarter and we believe our new napkin box with Tork Easy Handling features will save time for both staff and customers – and that can only be great news for businesses!”
