Konica Minolta has launched its first full-digital label press system.
Designed for short- to mid-runs, the Bizhub PRESS C71cf provides label converters and commercial printers with the ability to deliver an enhanced level of service and solutions to customers, helping them to stay ahead in a constantly changing and increasingly competitive marketplace.
Konica Minolta said the new press delivers advanced production flexibility and is a cost-effective solution for printers looking to shift volumes from conventional presses to digital.
With this new full-digital label press system print providers are able to reduce print run lengths and fulfil demand for fast turnaround, on-demand runs; while variable data printing capability supports personalisation and versioning
Dave Gully, group product marketing manager at Konica Minolta said: “There is an increasing requirement to produce labels in shorter run length and individualised labelling is also gaining relevance in the converter market.
“Digital technology is the enabler for label printers to offer personalisation and versioning in short- to mid-runs, providing them with the ability to cost-effectively address current developments in the industrial printing market, expand into new markets and secure new and recurrent revenue streams.”
