Drupa, the print media trade fair, ended on June 11th after an estimated 391,000 visitors passed through its gates over the past two weeks. There were 1,971 participants from 84 countries exhibiting their products at the show.
According to the Organizer Messe Düsseldorf, roughly 97% of visitors showed a “positive” feedback and their average stay was 3.2 days. More than half of visitors came from abroad, which successfully remarked the fair in the economy depression.
One exhibitor Gallus launched its ICS 670 mid-web cartonboard printing and converting machine on the show. Many visitors were intrigued by the new-released machine and manufacturer was also excited about the follow-ups on the novelty, feedback from senior marketing manager Stefan Hagn.
Kilian Renschler, vice president for product management in folding cartons, said: "Packaging will be one of our growing segments. We already have a good customer base and are extending our portfolio."
The next Drupa will take place from 3-16 May 2012 at the Messe Düsseldorf.
