Abu Dhabi Polymers Park was possibly going to endanger flexible packaging firms in Eastern Europe than the UK industry, asserted David Tyson, chief executive of the Packaging and Films Association (Pafa).
‘Lower labor costs and operation plants settlement have stimulated lots of investment in Eastern Europe,’ Dhabi said. ‘If manufacturer are willing to move to the Middle East and to come up with more products, it is expected to boost packaging industries there.’

Markets in the UK focus on novelty and acquire short lead times. Some well-invested companies from the Middle East need local suppliers to boost its business in Europe.
The plant accounts for 4.5 square kilometres of land and has been available to phase into booming regional production of polymers, which is expected to reach 33 million tonnes a year by 2011.
The owner of Abu Dhabi Basic Industries Corporation (ADBIC) is a stakeholder of the Abu Dhabi government's General Holding Corporation.
It is expected to reach full occupancy by 2012 and produce at least one million tonnes of converted plastics products a year across a variety of industries.
‘Abu Dhabi was specifically to become a center for plastic conversion that are ready for raw materials and export routes,’ said ADBIC's vice-president for petrochemicals, Abdullah Al Darmaki.
