Morrisons gets FFP fish packs

FFP Packaging Solutions has produced new direct-to-oven heat-sealable bags for Morrisons’ fishmongers

The flexible packaging specialist said that shoppers at Morrisons’ fish counters now have the option to purchase fish in a new cooking pack called Esterpeel Cook.

According to FFP, Morrisons’ fishmongers can add whole fish or fish portions along with a knob of flavoured butter into the pack and seal it in-store to create a cooking pack that also locks any odours inside.

The bags are manufactured from heatseal polyester, printed with a two-colour design that carries the Morrisons branding along with cooking instructions.

FFP supply the bags pre-made and ready to use; the Morrisons fishmonger simply places the fish into the bag along with the knob of butter and seals it in-store using their existing sealing unit.
