Smithers Pira and Packaging News are pleased to announce that the Pira Packaging Summit 2012 will be held in association with Packaging News on 13-14 November and will be co-located with the UK Packaging Awards

Smithers Pira will be holding the 2012 edition of its flagship packaging conference, the Pira Packaging Summit, on 13-14 November at the London Hilton on Park Lane, London.

New for this year will be the collaboration with Packaging News, with the conference also set to precede the UK Packaging Awards, the biggest and most prestigious awards ceremony for the packaging sector, at the same venue on the evening on 14 November.

The Pira Packaging Summit is a platform for senior decision-makers throughout the industry to discuss key strategic challenges from across the packaging value chain and long term strategies for success.

Engaging presentations from high calibre speakers, expert insight and data from Smithers Pira’s market reports and unrivalled networking opportunities have made this conference a must attend event for those involved in the packaging industry since the conference’s conception in 2010.

Packaging News editor Josh Brooks said: “I’m delighted to be working with Smithers Pira to produce the Pira Packaging Summit 2012. It’s a great association for Packaging News and will give our readers the perfect opportunity to explore the key issues facing packaging businesses in the company of their peers from across the supply chain.

“Holding the Pira Packaging Summit on the same day as the UK Packaging Awards 2012, the industry’s biggest celebration of excellence in packaging business and innovation, means that we will be offering a compelling and essential two days for everyone interested in understanding the forces at work in the packaging business.”
