Global converted flexible packaging material market to top 17.1 million metric tons by 2010

 Buoyed by the developing regions of Asia-Pacific and Latin America, the global market for converted flexible packaging materials is expected to cross US$17.1 million metric tons by 2010, according to a new market report published by market researcher Global Industry Analysts, Inc.
 
 This represents a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 4.13% over the period 2000 to 2010, the report foresees.
 
 Increase in consumer incomes, economic recovery and westernization, improved lifestyles and marketing/retailing practices are likely to enhance demand for packaged consumer goods in most of the developing markets such as Asia, Latin America, Eastern Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
